I was first drawn to photography in the mid 1980s in New Orleans, when I bought a camera to make reference photos for large figurative paintings I was working on. I soon began painting the photos and exhibiting them. While working at the New Orleans Times-Picayune, I designed, photographed and produced the award-winning recreation of the 1901 Picayune Creole Cook Book.
I moved to New York in the late 1980s to pursue a career in photography. I photographed for Victoria Magazine for many years where I worked in fashion, product, interiors, architecture and still life. I have created numerous still life and figurative book cover photographs and also enjoy advertising, editorial, annual reports, catalogs and other assignments. My work is detailed, sensual and timeless. My fine art often focuses on women and flowers. My hand-painted photographs, Polaroid transfers and large color pigment prints are in many fine art photography collections around the world and can be viewed by appointment in Denver. |
